Just got one of these on my car this week. MUCH better sound than with the muffler shop generic turbo muffler, and hardly louder in the car if at all.

I was debating on splitting the manifold and running true dual all the way back as per the advice of someone I ran into that did this back in the day, but I thought I'd start cheap and try a glasspack. I'm glad I did - very very good sound.

My pipe is 2 1/4" all the way back, and the glasspack is 20" long.

My right foot is definitely heavier now

I think that, if Beethoven were alive now, he'd have used this sound in one of his symphonies.

I do see on Summit that they have shorter ones that aren't painted, which I would have gone with if I were to do it again. Would have fit easier, and then I wouldn't have had to take it to the exhaust shop to finish.

The best $20 I spent as well :)

I know a guy that has Cherry Bombs on his Coronet - 383 I think. Almost like angels singing

I know another guy with a '69 Road Runner with Hedmen headers and Flowmaster 40s, and his car sounds great as well.

Flowmaster 40 here on a bone stock 1bbl slant, with a 2 1/4 all the way from the manifold...not as sharp as a glasspack, it tends to smooth out the metal-rattling sound you get with more open mufflers, and when you get it up to ~3k rpm where that muffler is tuned it is like the voice of god :D

I have a Flotech glasspack on my Volare's 225, I'm happy with it.
I have thought about having dual pipes out the back of my Volare for the sound and the way duals look, but I don't feel that it's worth it. Not to me anyway.
It's your car though, have fun.

Dual pipes after the glasspack or split exhaust manifold and true dual all the way back? I can't imagine that splitting it after the glasspack would make much of a difference in sound, but it would look a lot cooler :)

I replaced my rotted stock muffler with a Cherry Bomb Turbo and it sounds great. The rest of the exhaust is stock.
