Lakeview to Burns....one of the most remote highways in the lower 48.

We ran out of gas......found a tiny stop 30 miles from Burns .....only had premium fuel .....dude would not take a credit card.....but took our Canadian cheque.

I have never done Burns Junction to Burns .......

So I got the cam and lifters. I ended up getting a little bigger than stock...
$84.00 shipped to my door.

RV 254 S Mechanical grind.

Great! It is a real stump puller with 9.5 compression, balanced and ported motor. I am running the stock lash .010 and .020, not those specs.....

Yeah I saw the .012/.012 on the box for valve lash and thought I will just run the stock .010/.020 and call it good. I'm taking the block in to the shop and having them install some new cam bearings on Thursday so the only thing that won't be touched is the pistons and cylinders.
