well finally an update.

dad got impatient and said hey, just let me find you a carb and ill buy it. so i was like all thats left besides brand new(edelbrock etc) is rebuilt...which is usually garbage. apparently the knechts in keizer
(in salem)
has a spot in portland that gets carbs ordered through holley. i got a nice re built/conditioned 1920 holley. i was shocked.. it ran great. i also

started to inspect my throttle cable adjustment. it seemed a little loose. so i tightened it and some of my take of stumble dissapeared. i kept going and it got better. well i double checked because i didnt want to break it and it "seemed" to have about 1/4 inch left before it was fully down. so i went further and snap. it broke. so i took the whole assembly off and got out the broken piece.

checked the bolts that go into the side of the exhaust manifold (under the carb) and into the side of it and i broke two of those. (D'oh) so i said why not just take the whole manifold off fix my gaskets and pull my broken screws..

anyways back onto current time. ive got the intake/exhaust manifolds off and will be cleaning the surfaces and placing on the new gaskets. i want to do a "Proper" throttle cable adjustment so ill be looking up that thread. anyways i still haven't gotten the carter a accelerator pump yet. dan supplied me with the number to call ive just been a little busy/too lazy

Whew. well ill get back hopefully tomorrow or so with an update. my main computer is down because i need to RMA my video card. (currently borrowing THOR's backup Desktop.
