My 74 is burning oil. So I have purchased Marvel Mystery Oil, Berryman's B12, and I got a whole box of Kroil mailed to me.

Just to be safe, I'm going to ask the dumb question, when you say ATF, you mean automatic transmisison fluid, correct? Any particular type of ATF?

I am super nervous about putting all of this stuff in my engine. I've got the directions printed out and I plan to follow them to the letter. I bought enough chemicals for 3 batches. It would be really nice if my car didn't spit smoke every morning when I started it up and fill the air cleaner with oil. Not to mention not having to continually refill the oil between oil changes.

Can I ask where you got the idea that pouring all of these products in your engine will solve the problem with it burning oil?

Hate to say that no amount of "soup" will fix a worn-out engine that is smoking.
You are better off looking into a rebuild or replacement engine.

Be warned, dumping a lot of "solvent" into an old engine will free-up a lot of deposits, which can plug the oil pick-up, then a bearing goes-out from lack of oil supply.

atf will only help a stuck ring and that is a long shot, my father showed me, you pour it in small amounts down the carb while it`s running and hot. your problem seems like valve stem oil seals or guides and they are only fixed by replacing them

If the air filter is plugging up disconnect the hose coming off the breather. No soup will fix it. Get yourself another good running engine or rebuild yours. Or rebuild another engine.

A freind used some "Restore" on a Toyota for a while. He had some decent success with it. It delayed the inevitable. Eventually it died.

How many miles do you have on the engine?

What brand of oil have you been running?

It is important to know what the condition your engine is in.
If it has never been run hard and at 195 degree temps, the oil ring is probably plugged.

One quart of Rislone or Synthetic oil per oil change will un-clog the rings and you can still drive the car. It may take a few oil changes to clean it out, but is much safer as Doc pointed out.

Rislone or a quart of synthetic oil is much gentler compared to dumping Slant Six Dan's soup recipe in. The soup is like Drano and you can't drive the engine while it is in there......only let it idle. You can't have a load on the engine or the bearings will suffer as Doc pointed out, if the pickup screen plugs.

When I bought my 74 the guy didn't have a thermostat in it so it ran cold and the oil looked like yellow to milky white foam. After two years on a diet of Rislone and or Valvoline synthetic oil it cleaned up very well and quit burning oil. I purchased the car with 151,000 miles on it and drove it to 355,000 when I got a defective oil filter that collapsed internally and would not bypass any oil. When doing 60 down the freeway at 4:30 in the morning on the way to work and you hear your engine squeek, it is not good...... It burned the first two rods about half way up they got so hot.
I waited until a local auto parts store opened, and purchased a PH-8, installed it, fired her up and instantly had 45 lbs pressure.

Needless to say after driving it another 60 miles home I pulled the engine and did a rebuild. Specs are at the bottom of the page. That was 3 years ago.......

I had a 66 belvedere I that was burning oil when I used to live in New Jersey. The thing wouldn't pass the inspection cause of the "visible smoke". I did not have much moola so I went to walmart and got some Bosch platinum tipped spark plugs hoping they would burn some of the oil off. (they cross referenced to a 944 {924?} Porsche eventually!) cleaned the smoke right up- I couldn't believe it! Ran a bit better too. Cant remember the # of the plug, long time ago.
