I think you just need V-8 brackets for those. Very hard to come by. Wasn't Schumacher or somebody making those? Good luck with your exhaust. Oh yeah, and I think the distributor gets in the way of the firewall where the wiper motor mounts. The z-bar will prolly be too wide, but you should be able to cut yours down to make it fit. I'm not too sure on the release fork.
I have an old article from a mopar swap compilation book somewhere. Let me look around. I can scan it and email you the pages if you like.
What are your plans for the slant stuff you'll have left over?

1964 was the first year for the 273.

For a 273 or 318.

You will need a set of V8 motor mounts, a V8 center link, a V8 radiator and 273 exhaust manifolds. If you have the 9" brakes you should upgrade to at least the 10" brakes.

For a 340 or 360.

You will need all of the above plus you need to modify the motor mounts to work. Also you should use a set of disk brakes and tie the front and rear sub-frames together with sub-frame connectors.

Also if you go to a 360 (which is externally balanced)- You will need a 360 specific oil pan (because of it's different rear main seal size), weighted flexplate or 360 specific converter. B&m, makes a flexplate that will allow you to use the 360/904 combination.

Any good running V-8 making decent power / torque will blow-up that 3-speed and the 7 1/4 rear-end in a jiffy so put an 833 4-speed and a 8. X/x rearend on your list.

Steering column, no change if you use the 273 exhaust manifolds. (yuck)
Throttle linkage will have to change to the cable type.

Here's a little tidbit. If you can afford the 340 A-body exhaust manifolds and you have manual steering, A little grinding on the driver side outlet and they slide right in. I did this trick 30 some years ago when they were throwing them away. A nice alternative to fender well headers.

I think you can use the Magnum truck manifolds on the early A's.

I swear on FABO they had pics and everything! Takes some grinding and maybe shimming the mount IIRC.
