Okay, this is the "pipe" thing (sorry, I don't know the technical term) that the oil filter screws on to. Whet I removed the oil filter to change it two days ago, this pipe came off screwed into the oil filter, instead of the oil filter unscrewing from it. I just removed it from the filter and reattached it to where it would normally be.
Is there some sort of gasket on or near the threads of this thing? I have noticed a slight oil leak coming from the general area of this, which is close to/part of the oil pump.
Suggestions? I don't need a new oil pump do I?
Thanks for any advice! :)

Oh yeah, this is the 225 in my '78 Volare 2-door coupe.

THe 'standpipe' (tall if it has the back flow flap), and short if it's just the 'threads' the filter threads onto... Just screw it back in and tighten it up a bit, and replace your oil filter...done.
