You guys missed out on the Real fun... after the inliners final round Champion Raceway goofed up on the checks... John Terry beat me to the
tower and had the $350 1st prize check with my name on it (He won, by a slipping clutch...I guess they thought I was going to win it, before the race was run...), I got to the tower and they had the runner up check with John's name crossed out and mine on it...
They got the whole thing corrected and we both got pics by the track photographer, once they post them I'll get some copies for the Bee Board.

I gotta definately thank the Erickson's for their efforts in keeping us in the loop... Wayne asked me several times if everything was going well and if I was having fun (If he was the host for a party he'd get a 10 out of 10 in making sure everybody was taken care of.) It was great to meet Aric and now I know what the sound of a 12 second slant sounds like when it comes up from behind, passes you, then beats the lederhosen off you at the finish line...He's my definition of calm, cool, collected, and very professional (If you're up to Woodburn, Bent-6 Marinaded Steaks are on me at my place guys!). I'm waiting diligently for my autographed copy of PJ's up and coming CD. I like talking to Edd and Sergio, both are knowledgeable and great guys... I hope Edd's future C&C project takes our future in a new direction, and out of the 'dream' realm. Had fun 'running' against everyone, and it was sad to be in the pit and see Kidd turn around with a spark plug with a sheared and smashed electrode...the stuck valve and bent push rods didn't make things any better...

I got lucky that I had a scratch then a Bye run for the Inliners race, since my wife was watching all the racing, and wanted to know what it was like in the "fast lane" (Actually my time trial was against Sergio who actually was faster...LOL). Seeing PJ out there, my wife expressed a bit of an interest, and after taking down the strip during the time trial...It looks like I'd better start prepping "Beater Valiant" to be "Racer Valiant"...

Also thanks to Fopar for the quick witted, "let's get out there and play" attitude!

I think to bolster numbers we should have a "Bring a friend to the races" day, and see if we can get some buddies interested in joining in the fun.

Thanks!

Good write up David! :D

There's all sorts of ways to improve you car... If you have points and want to convert to EI, I have a couple of good "starter" distributors that should help tighten up your timing a bit, I'll save one out for ya!

It was good to meet you, and it looked like your dad came by to see what was going on.

Thanks for the offer on the distributor, but I have the pertonix ignition already.
My dad's car is the candy apple '65 Dart that was in the car show section. There's a couple of pictures in the album that I linked in the article.
It was really good to meet all you guys. Thanks for letting me hang out and participate.

What are the chances of a killer bee autocross race??
