Y'know doc that clean engine block seems to not offer you enough challenges in keeping it running. Perhaps you should send it my way and I'll take it off your hands :P

(I kid I kid)

I could take you up on that offer, I'm not real happy with this engine.
This is build-up #3 for this block. The current plan is to drop the compression some, the last time around it had 215-220 psi of cranking compression and broke a piston.

As to the MP part no's: one of the sprockets has never, to my knowledge, been available. I believe the crank sprocket is the same as a B-engine. The cam sprocket is a myth, as far as MP parts go. I had that cam sprocket on order for years with no luck.

So if a guy is planning on a rebuild in the fall, this would be the timing chain setup to go with?? -Spin

The Cox Boys also carry the cast iron double row "roller" chain, that one works well for a mild performance build-up and it is a little cheaper.

For all-out racing, the JP Performance steel gears and multi keyways is the way to go.

I'd take the steel set anyway just for the extra longevity in a street engine.
