I have three. One is a "Cheetah", one a "Fairbanks", and one is "homemade" using an old Mopar kit. All work fine.

The fairbanks is going back....I had a fairbanks convertor in one of my cars way back when.

I actually have a NEW/never used Fairbanks manual pushbutton VB on the shelf. Back in the day, Frank Lupo at Fairbanks was real good to me. With me being a low buck racer, he gave me many parts at reduced prices, some even no charge.
