I thought that my first post would be best by kind of introducing myself and our project car.
My wife and I wanted a project car to work on. I've build honda race cars and we decided we needed some American Muscle. We found this 74 Scamp in pretty good shape for a very good price. The Slant 6 has been worked on by the previous owners (milled head, milled block, bored over cylinder walls, pistons, Cam, 3 angle valve jobs, ported head) and dog slow.
My wife wanted to initially keep the /6 and turbo it but diving into all the paperwork we received with the car, there are no specs. We don't know how much it is bored over, how much the head and block were milled. The previous owners don't know the specs either. We went to a car show yesterday and seen a few A Bodies that had V8 power and my wife said that she'd like to go with the V8 instead of the unknown /6. So I now have to figure out how to drop a 360 in this beast. It already has a 8.25" rear end (don't know what stock was and if 8.25" is any good).
Here are pictures.
