2/3rds of an inch (0.66")?

From the front face of the trans to the U-joint center-line of the yoke on at A-904 it's 34.12", A-727 is 38.13" or 4.01" longer. This is from my old Direct Connection chassis book. I would measure your 904 and 727 to be sure.
