They go round the aluminum spark plug tubes found on '60-'74 cylinder heads. '75 and later heads do not have plug tubes, and therefore do not have plug tube seals.

Remove spark plugs, then using your fingers pull the tubs out. You should see under the rim of the tube a hard black piece. Remove it and put the new seal in it's place.

Nope! Just remove the spark plug, and pull the drool tube out.

Remember that the crush ring needs to be removed from the spark plug prior to installing in drool tubes. The aluminum of the spark plug tube seals the plug to the head.

While doing your tune up, it's still a good idea to pull the valve cover to lash the valves.

:D

H'm. Is this a race car you're building, or a driver? The stock rockers are adjustable and work well.

Dont waste your money. Read up on Clifford BEFORE you buy from them. You can get the same thing cheaper from Rick at RAS.

Your '84 engine does not have spark plug tubes, so it does not use spark plug tube seals. It is also a hydraulic-lifter engine, which means the Clifford rocker set you have your eye on is not applicable. And yes, as has been said, Clifford has a pretty poor track record as a problematic vendor. Be careful, because they seem not to have any problem recommending and selling the wrong parts to slant-6 owners — see here and follow the links.
