If I am not running a fuel cell, do I still need to close off the trunk from the passenger compartment? I can't find the NHRA rule book I bought at Reynolds. If so I may just leave the rear seat in for Bristol. No time left to waste on putting in tin.

You should be OK removing the seat if there is no battery or fuel back there. If you want to play it safe, take-out the bottom section and leave-in the top until you clear tech.

Thanks Doc,
That's exactly what I'm planning to do. This thing may not even make it down the race track this weekend, but I'm gonna tow it up there anyway. If I don't get to do some real racin', then by golly I'm gonna do me some bench racin'! (I'm a gittin' this Suthern Tawkin' down perdy good, huh?)
Boy it sure is good to be close enough to get involved for a change. Hopefully with your efforts and the efforts of others out there you'll have more events out West. I remember way back when in the old Slant 6 News days that most of the activity was on the West coast. I think most of that was the mainstream folks. If I remember right, they started a performance / racing section of the magazine because of a couple of you go fast crazies! Look what it's become! This is awesome.
18 hours 'til I start towing for Bristol. I need some shoe polish to write "Bristol or Bust" in the back window.
