I have been contacted by the folks at RT66 to see if we would be interested in a Slant race at their Mopar show. At that time it was scheduled for Aug. 5 which was the same weekend as Milan, so I told them "No". However, the Mopar show has now been moved to September 21. The drawbacks that I see are that it is a Sunday only event, and it's pretty late in the season for a lot of folks. The good part is that it is at RT66, and the only other class racing will be the Box/No-Box combo race. The ET breaks for both Box and No-Box will be 0-19.99 so even Ol' Possum can race that dead dog of his.

Even if we can't get anything cooking for this year, maybe we can get on the list for next year.

M & B probably wouldn't get a word in all weekend...

I'm interested in that race, but possibly not this year. Could combine it with a roadtrip up to WI to see the folks.

It would be fun to get a Slant race back into Route 66 but 9-21 puts it "back to back to that GA race.

We may end-up with that ol' North / South split so we should work to pull a group together just to show the 66 folks some Slants and get "positioned" for doing a points race there next year.

Doug, we may not be able to get anything going for this year, but maybe we can get a plan in place for next year. :D
