In the process of pulling the stock exhaust manifold off my slant challenger in preparation for a super six conversion I discovered the manifold was cracked clear through pretty close to the exact location of where the cut would be made for a Dutra Set-up. I will bring a digital camera home tonight and hope to post a pic tonight and would like an opinion on if it is possible to finish the mod or if the crack occured to close or if it is just a bad idea to try to modify the manifold it has already cracked?

Hopefully I can post a pic tonight. Also, I have read the old post regarding the casting of more front section, is this still occurring and if so can I get details or a link on ordering a set if this will work? email is bohmer2@charter.net.
Also what would be the associated shipping cost to 62025 zip.

Thanks to all who reply in advance.

I have one that cracked through near the 3 runner, but I may have to pitch it, it has a chip and slight crack on the manifold outlet neck, and the rear 3 runners don't look flat/straight at all.

Check it, for warpage before going to the hassle of sawing that clean.

Checking the used manifold for other cracks and warpage is the first step.
If the rear section is in good shape, it can be modified.
You can follow the instruction posted in the articles section or send the section to me for the mod.
I will send you some price information tonight.

Here is a photo of where the manifold has broken, it is still attached to the intake but hopefully this will give enough info to determine if the break is high enough to clean up for a dultra setup.

Ok here is the yahoo folder with the pics in it. exhaust1 and exhaust2 show a couple of angles. There are also some other pics of the car itself and the bbd, I scavenged from an old pickup. Car is a 3 spd so no concerns with kickdown linkage.
