That's correct. I also called and left 2 messages on Thomas Heflin's number that he gave us at the race last year. But I haven't heard back from him yet.

There are at least 3 more local guys that are "supposed" to be coming so hopefully we will pick them up too.

Lou do you have any contact with Sam Powell? I havent seen him around in quite some time.

I havent heard from sam in a while - My guess from discussing this with lou is that he is really diving into some other project currently - Maybe he'll come back here again. Maybe a PM or an email will help in this situation with Sam.

I'll be there with or without my 67 Dart. I am still chicken to run it too hard with the stock clutch, and that vibration in the driveshaft/rear end somewhere.

If I'm not driving I'll work the pits for anyone who needs help!!!

I highly doubt Sam will make it, at least his car won't. He is pretty much out of the car thing for the moment, but if he has time I'm sure he'll come to hang out. We are very good friends and I see him from time to time, and he is heavily into other projects (house, model trains, grandkids...).

Wonder if we can get those "watchers" from last year (64hard65conv and Pat Dawson)??

Nice to see some folks coming out of the woodwork! This may motivate us to try a race further in the Northeast next year??

Also, I will contact the track owner early next week and get some details. Remember Mason Dixon was more than happy to have us and they treated us great! He also told me we could have more than 1 race here if we wanted and it could be on just about any weekend. It didn't have to be the all mopar event. Soooo, if you want another race in the North east I suggest .....

Ok, I spoke to Elmer Wachter (track owner) and he said that he would do a $25 payout for every car that enters. The entry fee is $35 and he will give us all but $10 back for our payout.

With some bucks Lou has kindly kicked in, and some $$ I am looking to find under a rock we should have a nice payout. With 16 cars ($400) and the money that we put up we should have at least $700 for a payout,maybe more.

Anyone wishing to kick in something for the payout just let me know. My plans are to get a nice trophy for the winner as well.
