Thanks for the update. I'll schedule to make both Oregon races, and inliners if on a Sunday for sure. Since Mopar Nat's at Woodburn fall about the 3rd weekend in July and most people are trying to get their rides together to go, I'm toying with the idea of delaying the DI slant 6 BBQ one weekend so everyone can "Race" and still show up for the BBQ...

Better get my car back into order...
Test and Tune starts in March...

Or possibly move the \6 BBQ to the track?? I am sure there is someone that can bring an appropriatly sized grill to the track, one way or another...

In addition, all the point races will be on Saturday (except Vegas) .In all cases these are two day events so you have the option to run inliner or sportsman on Sunday or use it as a travel date.

I heard that the track was sold. Don't know what is going to happen to it.

Yeah, I had talked to a few guys here in the valley that "get around" and they were worried about Medford, and it sounds like one of the hot tracks in Washington is a gonner without sponsorship or some kind of support...

I have raced at Medford and that would not be a track i would want to see gone, very nice track and always run well and the people who own it are great with us slant folks. It is making it hard to get to races when the only tracks are 500 miles from each other...

Yes, the Sacramento track has been sold but they are leasing it back each year until such a time when the developer is ready to build on the site. But considering the economy, I highly doubt that will be anytime soon.

I am curious as to why Sacramento was not included in our schedule. I may have missed the discussion on this issue.

Do any of you have an interest in a money race in Sacramento?

What do you have in mind ,this race is a points race, and in order to keep expenses down we are racing for trophies instead of cash. However if someone wants to organize a shootout either within the points race or on the side i am in . Could be as simple as $20 per round to the round winner, or a jackpot where the money is pooled and split. Are you putting up a purse? Another idea is to find local sponsors to put up the prize money for advertising on the website or race flyer.

The Oxford Suites in Redding will offer us a promo for corporate rates for this event. You can get a non smoking with a king size bed for $109 or a smoking room with a queen for $99. This price also includes a FULL breakfast buffet in the mornings. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Sean. Just thought I'd pass the info along. Not bad with the breakfast.

Ok, Kevin and I booked the family suite at the La Quinta Inn In woodburn. It has 3 queens and a full kitchen. We've got room for 2 more couples or 4 more people. It would be $40 per couple per night or $20 per person per night. I will volunteer to be the cook. Please let us know asap if you are interested.

Debbie & Kevin
