Whare and can, a person buy just the accelerator pump only and not the whole kit?

Vehicle which needs it is a 66 D100 stock 225 /6 (w) 727. G

Not cost-effective. Get a whole kit. Which carburetor are you working with? Carter BBS, Holley 1920...something else?

I have a Holley 1920 Economaster.
The last pump I bought at Joe's a few months ago was less than $10 and some new power valves with the new style top. I bought a few for spares plus extra gaskets and some extra floats. Great place!

As Dan says sometimes you can get entire kit for less that $20. and get all the parts.

Carter BBS with improperly-assembled bowl vent. Since you need the bowl gaskets to replace the accelerator pump anyhow, you might's well get the whole kit. Walker #15483A.

Due to it being a basic carb of easy disassemble and re-assemble should I try to get by with carb spray clean, or do I need to get soaked $ and then soak it? My very austere budget asks. Accelerator pump is the problem. I have done many carb rebuilds in the past but was trying to keep it simple. I am very open to constructive comments and answers as that is what I always find here. Thanks, G

PS, Yes I intend to buy the whole kit.

What's the overall goal? If you are absolutely sure the carb is pretty clean and there is no problem other than the accelerator pump, then yeah, spray cleaner will be fine. If you are merely guessing/hoping the carb doesn't need anything else, then doing less than the whole job almost guarantees you'll have to go back in and do the rest of the job soon…costing you more time and more money (another rebuild kit) than if you'd done the whole job the first time round.

That answer works for me. Shortcuts are not your quality style but I will probably go with spray. Circumstances etc. It has snug throttle shafts and I looked at the feeble accelerator spray episode and it happens late.
Proability strong that is the main probably. Dan thanks. G
