Nice work, my friend! You beat me to the track with your V. 13 sec on the first time out is great.

Maybe I won't be so far behind you after all on the ET. I am figuring on mid-high 13s, but who knows.

See y'all in MD!

Lou

Looking at your 60' time may be a little soft on bottom end or spun the tires but man that thing must be pullin' hard on top end for that mph.4.30's are just right for that size tire. Going through the lites about 62-6300??.

Greg's are 27.5 mine are 26. I stepped the gears from 4.30 to 3.73 to keep the rpm's in the 5's instead of 6+.Mostly experimental, looking for optimum. When time for tires I want to go from street radials to race only lite weights.

Yeah the thing Launches like a nice fluffy pillow now. It' definitely not spining the tires.

I was At 3000 RPM on the converter at the line - I am going to try 3500 next time. Maybe this will get me some better 60' times

I Reviewed my in car videos - it looks like 52-5400 at the Finish line now. The camera is real shaky on the top end so it's a bit hard to read the tach for sure. It is defiently not at 6000 or 6200 at the stripe, that's a fact.

Tires as Romeo stated = 27 X10.5

I'm surprised it does not 60 better. The mph is good for low 13's so there is some left on the table. With this being its inaugural weekend there is lots of time to figure stuff out. GJ.

Well, I got the Cam degreed back in close to the 100* mark.

It's nice having the adjustable gear for such stuff.

I did Strip out 3 of the Original hex key Fastners in the gear :-(

But I welded some old junk bolts to the 3 stripped out bolt heads and they turned right out.

Got some new Fastners at the store with a standard 6 point bolt head~13mm and I'm back in business.

I got the cover back on and the alt belt on fired it up and put the car in the driveway. Seat of the pants feel seems to be a bit more peppy / responsive on the low end.

That might net me some better 60' times.

We shall see on saturday :-)

Greg

Any Idea on the weight? Are the scales still there at PRP ? As stated before your MPH should get you in the low 13's. I seriously think that you can see 12.99 this summer.

I will go one better, your 32nd pass will bee in the 12s.What does your car weigh with you in it?I seem to get better 60ft times leaving at about 2000,2500.Any higher than that they slow down a little.Every car is different.Test and tune.I think you will have it figured out by your 32nd run, best of luck,I am rooting for ya,Mark

Cam timing will make a difference across the power band, except for possibly way up top.

Good luck!

You can check at the Smithton truck stop.( now Flying J's ) I used to go there. I bet they still have the scales at PRP. It was old school weights & measures. Just curious....................
