I'm looking for the carb adapter/mounting plate for a Offenhauser 4BBL intake. I got the intake for free because the plate is missing. Anyone have one or know the part # so I can order it?

Hi Brian,

FYI, the factory Offy plates are garbage. Made of pot metal, and they warp very easily. I just bought a Mr. Gasket 1" alum carb spacer and drilled holes to make my own plate. Just so you know...

See you in MD!

Lou

If you aren't into drilling a spacer you can buy the Clifford top plate as it fits the Offy manifold and it allows sideways carb mounting which the Offy adapter does not.

Thanks Josh, I think the Clifford plate is the way to go since it allows for sideways carb mounting. Learn something new on here everyday. :D

Yeah, I used my Clifford plate on my Offy intake. I drilled a NOS nitrous plate to fit my Clifford manifold, but haven't used it yet.

How is your car coming along Brian? I guess you are mounting the carb so it must be ready to run? :D

Rick, I'm working on a second motor for my 67 Dart. I hope to have it in by Hagerstown. My Duster race car has been sitting in a feild for the last 2 years and the sale of it is pending. I could bring it out to Hagerstown, but it needs some work. I will still have 2 cars at the race.

I have an Offy intake on my slant. However, I will be running a 2bbl carb of the Weber variety. 38DGES to be specific. Right now I have a Weber 36DCNVH on top of a Mr. Gasket adapter, but it's not going to work with my new carb, so I'm doing a little custom fab job on an iron plate. I'm almost done with it.
Anyway, I guess just go with a Clifford plate, or fab/modify your own plate.
