I helped a friend last weekend, he recently purchased a ranch... the ranch came with a 60 Dodge pick-up truck, sitting in a shed, SL6 w/ NP 435 4-speed.

I beer bet him that I could get the SL6 running so I took off the carb. & rebuilt it on his kitchin table. With fresh gas and a charged battery, the engine fired right-up and runs nice.

Anyway... this truck has a hydraulic clutch so there are 2 single pot master cylinders on the fire wall. Both are bone dry and rusty inside.
I have a bunch of single pot brake master cylinders from 60's cars so my question, can I use a "brake" MC for the clutch or is there a big difference between them?

Different part numbers, but same bore size. Might be the pushrod depth or fitting connections, that are different.

Thanks... Good thinking on the pushrod socket / length.

Seeing that I have some good used brake master cylinders, I will likey try to install one in the clutch position and give it a go, just to see if I can get that ol' beast to move.

I have the cylinders from a '63 I tore down and they both look the same as well. Let me know how this turns out....
