Sweet! 78 is kind of a bastard year- 77-down front end, 79-up dash and rear end. I like them though. Good score. I almost picked up a 78 from Sixshotvanner but decided against it since it was a manual.

Anyway, back to the regular topic of this thread.

RSVP me for 3 people. Also, will we have access to the trucks? You mentioned they are getting scrapped as well.

ok Ed and Phillis went to town today and got hotdogs, and hamburgers with all the fixings so we are set food wise. tomorrow i'm getting 2 cases of decent beer and a ton of cheapo sodas cause i don't drink soda. everyone is welcoem to bring refreshments and what ever they decide to donate to the event. i am working on finding seating ( other than cars ) so if your just gonna hang i would bring a folding chair so you have butt parking.

please be very carefull when climbing on stacked cars, you only die once and crushed by a car or a massive head wound is not the way i wanna go. so again we are here to help and please ask.

have fun everyone

neil

ps: the baracuda 64-66 back glass are 40.00 each! - u pull

So how was the turnout?
I watched Sherlock Holmes on the 767. Watching it on the tiny 7" seat back Panel wasn't very satisfying, but at least it kept me occupied on the flight. I messed up and left the book I was going to read in my checked bag.

I think Ed was glad there wasn't 50 guys crawling all over the yard.
But there was a good turnout... and not everybody at once...

Not much left for EI distributors, but have some nicer points cores to play with. Got to take a nice pic of what an intact sunroof assembly and liner looks like. Got the priviledge to see Ed's "Gold Room"... (Thanks Ed!!!
That was neat.)

Was expecting to make a haul of cores, until the dive through the bucket and the row of slanted cars only produced 2....luckily that was the case...
as someone put an original Dutra Fat Pack 4 barrel intake on the table for
sale...there went the project fund!!!!

Time to get a Jeffries Head to go with those big runners!!!!

-D.Idiot

Thanks again Midi and Ed, it was a good time and I wish there had been a bigger turnout. There was some talk that those that couldn't be here today might get a second chance before crush day, but that was up to Ed's final judgement, there's still a lot of deals to be had there.

Thought about making the drive down from Seattle, but it wound up being a good thing I didn't. It's been a really rotten day for me exactly one year later.

Glad y'all had fun.

You were certainly there in thought Dan! Wish ya could have made it. Same with a few others from here!!

The turn-out was good though.

I picked out 4 new doors for Vera and also a passenger side mirror, and some sexy 270 emblems!

I managed to take some photos....but mostly of the Great American Midi in its natural habitat....
