I have a super six volare with a 7.25 and some pretty lame rear end gears. Probably sub 3.0 ratio

I have access to all kinds of junked mopars through my friends.

I am strongly considering making a swap so I can take more advantage of the torque the engine has to offer. Most of my driving is around town so I dont care about fast interstate speeds.

So here are my questions:
1. Can I just swap an 8.25 or 8.75 rear end and driveshaft into the car?
or do I need to find a 7.25 donor with a better gearset?

2. Can I just take my rear end and have it rebuilt with a better gearset, say 3.23 or so? I dont give a crap about suregrip because the car honestly doenst have enough go to roast the tires anyway.

So, basically I want to upgrade to a 3.23 ratio as easily and cheaply as possible.

Advice is appreciated

Cool
When you say driveline I am assuming you mean the driveshaft and the rear end. Any modifications needed to the pinion and yold assy where the driveshaft hooks into the tranny? If the donor car had a v8 I would think the tranny may be different.

What about an 8 3/4 rear end out of a duster or dart? My buddie has several A body carcasses lying around and all have rear ends in them
