I did not use paint, just ET's. There was a big difference on my shorties into a Y with a single extension vs. no extension.

I can def. Fatten it up all around

One thng at a time boys.

Hello,

Mark, I am running a Carter / Edelbrock 500 CFM AFB carb. I havent gotten to toy with it much yet. I did throw in some fatter sec. jets and I need a few more runs to see what the effects are.

Here's a Time slip and video fo my last run from thursday .

ET is Virtually unchanged from 2 weeks ago but MPH is up almost one.

2 Changes

- Added Header extensions

- Fatter secondary jetting.

- I did have some alt / voltage reg Problems so These runs were made on a pretty tired igniition system just running off the 12V battery.

I went up the the lanes for a 4th run and the battery pooped out so I had to roll it up to the trailer.

I got the charging problems squared away yesterday.

Probably wont be out at TNT for a while as I am super busy until Hagerstown!

Hey there greg! Wondering how the old girls runnin, if you had any time to thrash on her since hagerstown? If you had a chance to dig any deeper into your headgasket issue? Had a great time meeting you at hagerstown and hope to see you again soon.

Hello Brian, Thanks for the offer but This car is not getting any cosmetic work done to it. I am sure there are other '68 val's in this world that could make better use of your parts.

Future parts include glass deck lid, glass hood, lexan glass and window regulators gone.

Hello Cory,

I did take it to TNT at pittsburgh a week after hagerstown - Same situation - Good head gasket and white oil.

Probably time for a new block.

I just have had a bad luck streak with things since hagerstown with everything, Ramcharger getting hit with a spare tire, race engines not working, hard drives getting zapped.

I have another block being prepped now, I have to get the old one apart and start assessing things. I might need rings / or a piston for #5 cylinder too.

I will post updates as soon as things are moving along.

I shudder to mention/think this, could it be a head issue? You may want to get that pressure tested while off. That would be much worse than the block. There is a guy in Philly (radarsonwheels) dumping a 225 shortblock if you need one.

Bummer to the max. Good luck, Greg!

Lou

Check the ports on the head. I have one Mike had to repair. A piece of casting sand popped out of it after the head had been used for 2 years.
