awhille back i posted that i needed help my car was smoking and it smelled like gas . i did a braekdown of my carb{kit} and noticed that power valve lever was missing a washer retainer and a ball bearing they where loose in the carb??? found them inside and noticed that where the lever inserts into the main well body there is missing a cap ??? and spring ??? but there was a ball bearing inside of that hole ??? would any if this issues cause my car to run rich thus smoking? i changed the valve oil seals already . and where can i get that specific parts ????[/img]

since u haven't said what carb ur playing with my best suggestion is. . . . . . .

since u apparently have dissected ur carb quite extensively, get a rebuild kit for it now and finish the job. follow the instructions in the kit should get u a fresh carb, and get rid of that gas smell.

it is a 1920 holley but what about the missing parts ????? if any ????

The 1920 shouldn't have any ball bearings rolling around inside. Can you take some nice detailed shots of your metering block and inside the Carb?

i took some pics but do not know how to paste here can i pm you then send pics . the bearings came out from the power valve lever the second stage hole ? put that bearing back but then i noticed that where the lever enters into a hole in the main well econimizer part there was a bearing which fell out and i think there should be something holding it i ?????? like the power valve second stage ??????????
