Hey guys, is there some place where I can buy new gears for my rear? I think they are 2.90's now. This gear is good on the highway but its a little hard on the motor when pulling some of the long hills here in southern WV. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can buy new gears, but if you're cheap you can go get some 3.55s out of an older Dakota pickup. The late 7.25" rear end uses C-clips so it's a bit different to disassemble. I tried pulling used gears, but broke the lock pin that retains the spider gear cross-pin in 3 different rear ends. :?

I have a couple of 3.23 gear sets. I paid $60 plus shipping for the newer one. PM if interested.
