Go get 'im, Dennis!

Wish I could make that one too. I happily got the '64 down to 14.55 @93 yesterday w/ a decent launch (2.10 60fts). I think there's another 1/2 second lurking in tuning too since my MPH didn't go up from Bristol. :o

We could have a little runoff next summer with that dude if I drive the car up to WI again...

Lou

Hey Possum, think we can get your moder in my car before Sunday? That would give this little whipper-snapper a thrill, wouldn't it?

Lou, too bad you can't be here. I'm pretty sure he would really spaz after getting whacked by a 4 door pulling a boat.

That would be fun....

You can bet I surprised some folks going over the mtns in WV and VA, and some people I passed on 2-lanes with the boat out back... :P

The pizza was good, but not as good as last year, and we got to the Hut so late that the salad was being packed up!

I won by default today. The kid had made one time run before I got there and had gone 14:45@98. Not bad for a combination that should be running low 13's.

His buddy drove the car for the second time run and tore the clutch up. ET was a blistering 20:60.

I was about 12 cars behind him waiting for my 1st time run. It was priceless watching him and his buddies push the car back through the pits.

-D.Idiot

At least the kid didn't blow the thing up and lose his feet in the process...

Just out of curiosity, how'd you do big D?

My car could have used some more jet I think. It was 60'ing like crazy, and running out of steam at the 1/8th mile. It ran a 16:75@77 with a .518 light on the one time run I got.

I dialed 16:71 for the 1st round and went .483 red. Car ran 16:72.

The car normally 60's 2.22 or so at RT66. Today it went 2.19 and 2.18.

About what I expected, too bad he did not blow the clutch during your match race, that would have been classic.

Great job just staying the course on this one Dennis.
I have had my share of these "Slant vs V8" match deals.
The important part is to show-up and give it your best shot,... win , loose or draw, everyone seems to come away with a little more respect towards the Slant Racer.
(I always have fun, I'm not sure the other guy always likes it. )

Hey Bagel if it is not in the Slanted Family then you just have got to pull off a win. We are trying to put up a 8.15 this weekend still tuning and trying to get the car to go. Thanks Possum Parker :D :D
