Mike,

Neal will be picking me up at Des Moines airport sometime late morning or midday. We might caravan to Kearney if we can work it out.

Looking forward to it!

Lou

Prep begins on the Duster today. Minor cleanup, check the oil, clean the windows, install EFI system, Dutra Duals, and air up the tires...

Is there any kind of registration or sign up required for the race? I can't find anything on it....

My plans have jelled up, and the plan is to leave Friday morning, arriving Kearney late afternoon or evening. (Maybe we could meet with Neal & Lou in DSM?) I do need to make room reservations tomorrow, but I don't anticipate any problems.
Have to come as a spectator, with camera in hand, and we're traveling in a buddy's mid-90's Caddy  but it's looking good so far.

Sidebar; I have an aluminum block that I'm willing to let someone deal me out of. One requirement; you have to have an unusable aluminum block to trade me with; (something I can use as a "dummy" engine for setup and/or display purposes). I could carry it to Kearney for the swap.
See ad in for sale.

Roger

GunPilot,

No registration necessary, just be there...

Roger,

PM me your cell #. Glad you can make it, but sorry it can't be in a Slant car. Looking forward to meeting you!

We will meet at the long traditional PIZZA HUT in Kearney on Friday eve.

Cheers,

Lou

Sorry to hear that, Frank. Hope you might work it out, or we'll see you at Bristol, CC, GA...

Glen and I are coming,we raced at woodburn and had a bunch of issues with mechanical problems but we have recovered. I cant say for sure but a third west coaster is probable. My plan is to arrive around noon friday and relax before the pizza hut bash. Where are you guys staying?.

I made some offhand remarks about prepping the car above. Here's the Thrash thread to follow it if interested....

Racing is just no fun if there's not a thrash to go with it. Or, is it, wrenching is no fun unless some racing follows it?

Or maybe I'm just crazy...

Just to add insult to injury, I am scheduled for 12's Monday-Saturday this week, and probably next week too.

It does look like the wife and I will be meeting Mike J. at the NHRA points meet in Earlville, IA the week after labor day though. :D :D :D
