This is done with liquid measured out into the sealed cavity to get exact CC on each combustion chamber and piston tops.

BTW. that piston tops I see looks like those pistons were for turbo 2.2 or turbo 2.5.

Cheers, Wizard

What's the part number on that head?

I don't think I've seen one with the open cooling passages on the deck side...

well I really do not know that and it is currently at the work shop. But I can learn it on saturday and try to inform you. As I said before, it is cast steel head, it is impossible to replace valve seats, they are cast too!!

That's an '81-up hydraulic head. I think they're all like that.

That 13cc dish is really killing you.

Yes and today I have found no-dish pistons, I will buy them and install. Also try to achieve 48 cc Combustion Chamber volume to get 9:1 CR. I guess this engine is built for 70s turkish market... the petrol quality was horrible. I can understand why chrysler preferred low comp pistons... I hope my valves does not hit to the pistons... In the end I need to shave 0,09" just to get 9:1.. I guess there will be night and day differance in performance... :)

Your valves will not even get close to the pistons. Sounds like a plan...

getting from 8.4:1 to 9:1 does not seem much but from 7.4:1 to 9:1 seems quite a lot. Do you think there may be reliablity issues? Normally the head and rest should be as strong for 9:1... (I hope  )

As long as you are shooting for 9:1 it should not be an issue, but if the bores are worn and the rings are high mileage something may give...
If you were shooting for 10:1 then it'd be a yes...but 9:1 isn't too bad.

You will see night and day difference between 8:1 and 9:1...it get's better if your cam is degreed correctly and you dial in the timing...

Well, it will be all new rings and pistons so this should not be a problem. I believe that the cam will be ok (I plan no retarding etc) but worried about timing.. if recurve is necessary I am not sure if anyone can do it here... People here dial with recurve if there is pinging.. we'll see

So not much of a problem than... I feel a little bit worried since it looks I am changing too many things at a time... I wish the pistons were flat... :) Anyhow I will do it and see..

do you have an idea about your HP of your slant? it is not a match for my slant but it will give an idea..
