Anyone install one of the AM cams yet?

When I degreed my 280/270 the intake opening event @.050 was spot on...centerline was good, but the IVC was off by a couple of degrees..have run that and not been to worried.

I just degreed an AM cam and the intake event is perfect...the lobe sits at max open for about 3-4 degrees, but my centerline number is correct if its in the middle of that band...Problem exists again that the IVC @.050 shown on the card was not where it should have been on the degrees wheel... I tryed to map the exhaust events and they weren't even close to what was on the card.

I'm going to run it anyway, but I'm just curious if anyone else on the group buy using the bigger cams (280/270,280/280,AM Hi Flow) has also
seen some variance in the degree reading?

Thanks of the input,

My 280/270 was pretty close .......

........but it was early in the group buy( from Tom at Erson). I wonder if newer cams have the same attention to detail.....

Is the cam wrong or is the card wrong?

The card would be wrong on the IVC event...

The card says 108LCA...numbers at .050:
IVO 13
IVC 49
EVO 51
EVC 15

Shooting for about a CL of 102 for the intake...the max lift for the lobe sits at max lift for about 5 degrees (100-105) before starting the downhill run...so 102/102.5/103...should be close enough for me.

Degree wheel said... (@.050 numbers) (after installing a degree bushing to advance the cam about '6' degrees...)
IVO 18 (looks about right)
IVC 51 (a little quick closing?)
EVO 69 (???)
EVC 21

I had to run it through the rotation a few times since I thought I had not installed things right...but the IVO is right for a '103' centerline...the IVC is right if the grinder was a bit 'lazy' on finishing the lobe (this also happened on my 280/270 but not in this direction...)

:?

I got that cam from 'Zilla quite a bit back. He got it some time before that. I wonder if the centerline was ordered "Special."

We'll find out...per the calcs, the enigne is 11.3:1 SCR... by the numbers from degreeing the intake centerline...my DCR slid in under the mark at 8.91:1..if the advertised intake closing event had been correct...since it's a bit shorter...I migh be looking at running super from here on out instead of 'plus' on occasion....

Interesting measurements there. I have not installed mine (identical specs to yours, incl LSA = 108). That is a SMALL cam for 11.3:1 SCR. You will have to be very careful to run premium pump gas with that setup.

I am planning on using that cam with 9.4:1 SCR and 100-102 centerline.
