After being talked into running with the Slant 6 class, even though I'm not a team member...

Congratulations Dave, for those waiting on the edge of their seats, Mark Murray won today and Dave Rudd runnered up. Twleve cars ran, great time and some very close racing. Several .00X lights, I lost first round to Bit T, but included on the first round runner up was John Terry, Doug Dutra, Andrew Howard and a couple of other contenders. The days of walk over rounds are over ,across the board the group is hitting the tree and dialing tight. Pictures and more stories forthcoming.

Yea, the slower cars were walking away with the wins. Mark Guzzi was running 11.50+ which impressed me. He stopped by on the way up on Saturday and had some great input into my new motor. Thanks Mark!

It was good to see the guys and gals again.

A great time at Sac this weekend... but yes, Allen and I need to break out of this "first round looser" funk we have been in.
As noted... you have to cut a light and hit your numbers to go rounds with this group!

Oh... and thanks goes out to "the Kidd" for our 3rd time trial run, we paired our 2 Toadcars... and the cars ran side-by-side, the entire length of the track, his 12.76 to my 12.75!

I had a few spectators come by during the event and comment about watching that run.

You are right Mark, the ets at Sac. are accurate but the speed is about three mph too high. My fast car goes 136.5 everywhere else and 139+ at Sac. This slant has never gone 81 and this weekend it said high 83"s.Good to see you again,i may make it to Bakersfield for the Hot Rod reunion, your car would be a hit there, look up the dates, its not that far for you. Your driving is pretty good, its just tough when your opponent is almost dead on and runs close to their dial ,there are some rounds that cant be won. This race was a lot of fun ,thanks for the help with my charging problem, too bad i didnt have time to meet up with you and Dave on sat night.Keep tuning.
