Hey,

I pulled my dash out of my 67 vc valiant. now of course it won't start I left all the wires in there however dials and stuff are disconnected. Not sure which ones to connect to be able to start the car...? Hoping just a ground cable or something etc. but is there an easy way to bypass all that just around with the starter motor...?

Do you have a wiring diagram for the car? I would start by getting one and tracing the circuits.

(1) Plug your ignition switch back in where it goes.

(2) Find the red and black wires that used to attach to the ammeter. Get a bolt, two washers, and a nut the right size to bolt the two eyes on the end of those wires together

(3) turn the key, watch for sparks, and hope it works.

Reed is right, you must connect the two ammeter wires together and tape them up good before connecting the battery back up. Then plug your ignition switch back in and it should fire up.

Don't forget to insulation the bolted together eyes and the bolt. You don't want that grounding out as the car moves around.
