In my seemingly never ending quest to nurse my 64 Dart GT back to full health, I've replaced almost everything: All new alignment, brakes, tires, rebuilt engine (twice), new exhaust manifold, carb, serviced tranny, new mirrors, windows, starter, alternator, radiator, water pump, battery (twice)....

But there is one piece I still haven't been able to track down:

The Choke Thermostat housing that goes on the exhaust manifold and connects to the carb. Anybody got ideas on where I can find one?

Interchange if you are using the original exhaust manifold is '62-'65, 170 and 225, does not matter if Carter or Holley. If you're using a '66-'69 exhaust manifold, you need a '66-'69 choke thermostat (proper name for the piece you're after). If you have a '70-'72 exhaust manifold, you need the matching choke stat. If you have a '73-up manifold, you need a '73-only stat. They're none of them made any longer, though they're fairly common on eBay. The other option is a #1231 Electric choke kit.

Scored! I actually just FOUND the missing housing in a garage near by. It was sitting there as if placed like manna from heaven. If I upgrade though, that electric version looks sweet!

UPDATE: My GT is finally purring perfectly. Low idle, good power, still burns a little oil, but it is running GREAT!
