i am trying to get the parts together for my front end rebuild. do i need an idler arm and pitman arm? i already got the pitman arm and now i am wondering if i need the idler arm as well. thanks. car is a 1977 plymouth volare 2 door custom with slant six. should i get new bushings as well?

Hard to tell unless you check play in idler and bushings. Most likely, yes. Idler arm usually wears out before the pitman arm.
