I wont be able to make it this weekend. I still need to put the rebuilt transmission back in the Dart, and it currently doesn't have spark, so I need to fix that too. Let me know when you come down again, and hopefully I can make it.

After Driving 3 Hours, Beautiful Blue skies etc.. Calling the track ahead of time to make sure they were open.

I get there and They Say they're closed - Not enough people.

:-(

Oh well 2 more weeks before drag racin begins.

Dayumm Greg, sounds like what we used to go through with US 41. At least 41 isn't 3 hours away.

That's a real bummer Greg. They need to have some way of getting people to sign up ahead of time to know if they are going to open. That is a long trip for nothin!

Well I towed up with my blue 77 D-200 318 2bbl and a 4.10 Dana Rear. 'cause I had the ramcharger in storage.

I usally just tow locally with the truck for fear that it would not keep up at highway speeds towing; espically through the mountians.

Since Ruster is so light now I tried towing on the highway.

It did real well. I dialed the timing back so it didnt ping going up the mountain. it's sluggish pulling out from exits and merging on the highway but overall I was pleased.

Ruster did get to try out it's new aero parts goin at 75ish on the trailer.

Looks the the aero parts will be fine under speed on the track at
100+mph.

Ruster looked sad on the trailer on the way back that I didnt get to tryout anything :-(
