Thanks Rich, Luck ,, We are gonna need it, Calling for crappy weather for the first day. Hope it all blows through on Thursday. Every year it gets windy for the Tent people to set up. Layout willl be today, Tents up tomorrow, 50 mph winds for Thursday hope everything is still standing for opening day Friday. Will be keeping my fingers crossed. Good thing same weather report was given for NHRA the weekend before and they got through it.

We were up there last November for the StreetCar Supernationals and it was overcast with windgusts in the 20-40 mph range and the temp was in the 50's. It did rain off and on that weekend aswell.

Worked an 11 hour day Monday. Fopar and I got to my place around 7 pm.
A storm was coming in that was expected to mess up the pass for travelers Tuesday morning. Linda suggested we take off immediately. Gave the key to my house sitter. Pulled out with the car a bit before 8. Forgot my jack stands.
Pulled into Susanville a bit after 4am. Slept till 9. Pulled into Beatty this evening just after 7.

Getting ready for the final blast down 95 tomorrow morning. I'll call when we hit the road to see if we can get a drop off a bit after noon.

Almost there!

Good work CJ...
See if you can hook-up with Romeo when you hit town and grab some pit spots Thursday... where we usually pit.

Allen and I are getting ready to leave on Thursday AM, Randy Jones said he wants to drive along with us so we will have a "toad car parade" as we make our way there.

I have our pit spot marked same place as last year but we may have to adjust a little as a rig is parked in the area left over from NHRA meet. They may move it or not. No big deal, Thru the gate, first hard right pass the Hemi Super Stock trailers(already there) near the fence. As of now the chance of rain is slight,Windy for today and Thursday, highs in the 60's Friday winds should be less and the rest of the weekend in the low 70's

They had me drop my trailer outside the pit gate. The street sweeper was busy working on the pit area this morning.

Already in the Motel room. 149 right across from the pool. I've been swimming. now just sitting around relaxing with Linda, while Fopar catches up on his favorite soaps. Richard forgot his bunny slippers so if anybody sees a pair, snag them for him on the way over. He'd probably settle for a pair of any slippers, as long as they have ears. :D

Hi everybody... Rhonda & I are braving the elements on the HARLEY... We called it a night in the Best Western off the I-5 near Lodi.... Andrew and crew got a earlier start than they exoected...which helps...

They are on the road as we speak...almost 10pm as of this posting....Talked with them a little after 9pm as they were passing thru the location we are at! They are doing a marathon run there...

No can do on the Harley ...not with my passenger...

We will arrive there late afternoon..

@ Doug and crew... We are planning to leave here about 6:30 - 7am ish...Maybe see you on the road? We know what to look for...

We made it here about 7:30pm... I swear the rain we otran from Crescent City caught up with us today when we left Lodi...
We saw Ceej, Linda and Fopar... as well as Guzzi Mark when we arrived...

And about 10 mins ago 9:40pm doc and his crew with Randy Jones rolled in...

So we are going to call it a night....the 40 plus wind we fought all day onn the HARLEY..... KICKED OUR BUTTS!!!!...

I will post pictures tomorrow and if I can some video...

Interesting day.

Our second run was postponed for quite a while due to Snow. Never been snowed out before!

Tomorrow we go into competition. Ed is still working on getting his launch sorted out. Mark had a cleanup run coming to him, and gave it to Ed so he could get a good number flashing instead of loading the converter.

Everybody has been awesome, as always when it comes to the slant six crowd! We've been perusing the midway and swap meet, but not much slant stuff around this year.
Linda picked up a glovebox and trunk mat for her '63 GT. Still haven't found her Hood Ornament. Gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. Last time I looked they were $200 for the plastic insert. :?

Lots of really great slant cars here! Mine is one of the slowest in the field.
Fopar and I talked about it, and we're going to drop the Erson 280 in the car when we get back. Hopefully the converter will be able to work with it. (2500 rpm.) Then it's back to the drawing board!
Unless somebody else shows up, we have an 11 car field.
Wilford Day is showing his LSR Bonneville replica in the car show. It's absolutely beautiful! He has all the information about his fun on the salt, and it's great to hear the stories about the adventures he's had with his slant sixes. Richard and I spent 1/2 an hour with him learning about his expoits before the track called us up to run. We'll go back and visit with him again tomorrow. :D
