Hi, i need to buy 6 exhaust valves for my slant six 225, in the motor manual says that the valves are diameter 9,423 to 9,448 mm, but the valve that i have in my hands is a little bit more than the standard, 9,82mm, i don´t know is deformed by use or is this measure correct,

need help to know what measures of valves exist? then buy the correct valve, thanks

Looks like he's referring to stem diameter.

I am guess ing that you are asking about the valve stem? Some times machine shops will drill out valve guides to clean them up and use over size valve stems to bring them back to spec. Measure your valve guides for size and if they are to big have NEW guides pressed in. Or bronze inserts. Never have them "knurled" as they will wear out very fast.

People-please remember that a lot of people in the world will write out 12.456 as 12,456-its a Euro thing.

It appears you have replacement valves with oversize stems. This was common years ago in areas or shops which don't have the equipment to replace valve guides. They can ream the guides oversize and then fit valves with larger stems. In this day and age the guides are typically relined with bronze. K-Line is a popular choice. http://www.sbintl.com/KLine.html One the guides are properly reconditioned the valve seats are refinished and new valves with standard size stems are installed.
