ordered new gas tank f'63 dart(which is single year only supposedly) it doesn't quite fit the trunk opening. anyway sent it back to van,s and then they called and in our discussion's they said they are comparing there new 63 only tank w'64-66 version and can't tell any difference in them.!@#$%^&* i wanted to say -why do they have a seperate listing then? i don't know if the manufacturer they get them from has a prblm. or what. i can maybe make it fit by pulling it sideways as far as it will allow me as i tighten the strap up but i really dont think it will stay there. its going to want to centre itself to the trunk floor recieving rib especially after the weight of fuel is added and road use. this is not right. i cant be the only guy out ther that has run into this prblm. help before i make another mistake. do i have a late model year 63 with a 64 trunk floor/ or what. the original tank that came out fits perfectly to the opening. if vans is correct(no difference in them) i dont have many options. makes no sense.thanx, pat
