Can someone explain to me what "green bearings" are and why I might need them??

I used the"green bearings" in the 8 3/4 in my RoadRunner to replace the tapered bearings and annoying adjusters that was wore out in my rear(the cars rear). they press on and are straight roller bearings instead of tapered and are not suggested for road race or handling but I never had any trouble and I drove my Runner real hard through the curves.
The only reason that you might need them is that you have a 8 3/4 with a wore out or damaged adjuster.

I use them in both my 8-3/4's and have never had any trouble. They are actually no different than the stock wheel bearings on a 7-1/4 or an 8-1/4.

Actually the 8 1/4" axle has the bearing pressed into the axle tube and the axle rides on the bering without any races.
