I took Project V around the block and laid 2 black marks on my driveway yesterday. It appears to be ship shape and ready to race, with new 3.80 rear pig and new Josh Skinner tranny. Hope to get a pair of drag slicks on it and get out to Radford for a t'n't before Hagerstown...

Lou

3.25. This one is a Truetrac too, so hopefully ltd slip will work better. Marks on driveway are symmetric, but we'll see on sticky pavement.

Looks like I can make the drive up, but most likely will be in a daily driver. My slant truck is down (exhaust and ignition). I'll be picking up Audrey - Stephaniebrite77's 65 Dart - down in NC this coming Sunday and anticipate driving it home with a buddy following in our truck. Just got to make sure there's no backing up since there's no reverse. So most likely I'll have to pull the 65 transmission. I do have a nice working 66 slant transmission, but that will entail additional work since it's rod actuated instead of cable. Got 3 weeks after I get back so we'll see.

That's good news Don. Will you be coming just on Sunday? don't worry there will be plenty of daily drivers.

Would be Sunday only unless I can get Audrey fixed. We'll see.

I just checked the Mason Dixon Schedule for the weekend of our race, and they do not appear to be open on Friday evening at all. I will get in contact with Elmer to verify the details, but it looks like there will not be any test & tune at M-D that night. It is possible that there may be something at 75-80 Dragstrip, below Fredrick Md. About 45 Minutes from Mason Dixon.

I will post more details in the next couple days.

Rick

Yes it rained us out in May and we rescheduled for the end of July. But that was last year, now quick saying the "R" word!! :D

Don't worry about rain. There will not be any. The only reason it rained, last year, was because I drove over 2,000 miles round trip for the race. Can't make it this year. I did get in the Fri nite TnT, however. Most expensive TnT, I ever attended. Did have a good time meeting other Slanters, and bench racining. Plus a visit with my brother, who lives in Montgomery county Maryland, and hadn't seen for about 5 years. Have fun, folks.

It's been a loooong year and I haven't been on this board much lately, but I'll be there with the Valiant. Saturday most likely, but I may be able to make both days this year.
