Actually, you can buy wig-wag units from JC Whitney. That is a pretty cool tach you have ther! I really like that it is homemade!

Pierre,

I have thought about a digital dash for many years. Speedo, Tach, Fuel, Water Temp & Oil Pressure. I think one of the 'Cudas had an electric oil gauge that we could get the sensor from. The fuel & temp should be easy for you. I was thinking about making a brushed aluminum plate in the same pattern as my '64 Dart dash to mount the components in. What do you think?

I was planning to go all matching autometer gauges but digital is pretty cool too. 8)

For those looking for custom dash inserts have you looked into laser cutting? Here in Winnipeg it's pretty reasonable. I had a dash insert cut out of stainless for my snowmobile last fall for $30 (CDN). Also getting all my flanges for my turbo setup cut for less then $5 each. Seems reasonable to me. All I do is provide a CAD drawing of what I want and they can knock it off in less then a day.

The company I work for is seriously considering a CNC machine for woods and plastics for my dept. Most of them are also capable of doing aluminum as well. If that pans out I may be in a position to do some of this kind of stuff on off shifts and weekends. I would be very willing to help out those in need.

Although we are talkin' 6-8 months minimum.

Like Chuck, the more I investigate digital the more I like the idea of retrofitting some Dakota Rectangular units into the existing openings. At 79 bucks a gauge they would be pricey, but a vast improvement over what is there....Dave
