I've been contemplating installing a turbo on my 225, but recently I ran into an article about installing a Ford M90 blower on the slant. The article didn't go into much detail about fuel delivery, carbs, or other theory, so I am wondering if anyone here has done this? And if so, how did you do your build?

It should be pretty simple normal motor build add a m90 long snout make some sort of pully system and bam its whine time.

Doesn't aussie speed make a blower manifold for the slant?

Seems I've seen some homemade adapters to fit it on a 4bbl manifold somewhere. Can't remember where.

I have thought about it, to the point of mocking up a manifold out of plywood and building a accessory plate for the belts and alternator. It wouldn't fit into my '65. The master cylinder was to close to the throttle body and the lower pulley would be real close to the radiator. On the other hand it looks like it would work quite nicely in my '73. This is using a GM M90, which is different then the Ford version.

What pulleys to use? The bottom one is from a Ford 3.8 v6, the water pump one is from a Ford 3.0 V6, with some shims, they align. If you could have a 6 rib hub integrated onto the stock dampener, a water pump pulley from 5.0 Ford will a non-reverse water pump will work. Once again some shimming is required. The alternator is late model Chrysler, the tensioner is from a Chevy 4.3 V6. I don't run power steering.

With this pulley setup, the M90 would be turning over at 11,000 rpm at 4800 engine rpm, which should produce 10lbs of boost at roughly 250* of inlet heat. Which should produce 300hp at the crank.

My 2 are based on the M90.
I am using 2 different types. One is EFI and the other carb. I plan to spin them at about 18K. Mine are Gen 6 and Gen 5.

I've fitted an M90 onto my slant, i modified a stock alloy intake, and made a long pulley to line up with the PAS belt. I'm using a draw through system with a 600cfm holley (probably a bit big, but it was free...) I need to spin it a bit faster, as I'm only getting 4 PSI boost, but even that is enough to completely transform the car ( full-size 1975 C-body Plymouth Gran Fury ). Go for it! just the whine from the blower makes it worthwhile! good luck, Graham. (in the UK).

Hi, This is my first attempt at posting an image, don't know if it will work!, this belt drive was meant to be temporary just to get it running, it works fine but I intend to replace it with a better looking system sometime. Clifford headers into a true dual system, sounds awesome! The carb manifold is a bit convoluted, but I wanted it to fit under the bonnet (Hood) without bulges or cut-outs.

Blown slant C-body.....you are my hero today.

there's a few blown slants over here in Oz, because we sit on the correct side of the car and therefore haven't cluttered up the I/O side of the engine bay with boring stuff (like steering and brakes)
