Some questions about an area I have never encountered before.

The last time I changed my oil filter, the threaded bolt that the filter connects to came off with my filter. I tightened it as much as possible and put the new filter on. Seems good enough but is this a major problem I need to fix/change or will it be fine?

Also, at idle (while in gear) I have a pretty drastic chugging sound that I can't place. Could be an exhaust leak or rod knock. When in neutral, I hear it much less and there's no sign of it when driving except on the high rev of each gear prior to shift. Is this indicative of a common problem that someone might know about?

Buy new O-ring for filter standpipe. It goes at top of "bottom" threads (where it screws into the pump. Make sure it's made out of Neoprene or Viton, not just any ol' rubber O-ring.
