I have to withdraw my name from roll call for Elk Creek.

The State Championship swim meet is broken into two separate weekends. The 12 & under swim 15-17 July and the 13 & over swim 22-24 July. I had thought it was all that first weekend.

I talked with Jamie Moxley with Elk Creek today and here are the details as I have them for the race.

Friday entry fee 20.00
Gates open at 5:00 P.M.
We will have open testing for approx 30 minutes before 1st. qualifying run.
We will get 2 qualifying runs.
The track will provide winner and runner up trophies.(Friday and Saturday)
Camping at the track is welcome.

Saturday entry fee 20.00
Gates open at 11.00
We will be able to make at least one free time run before qualifying.
Qualifying will begin around 1:00 P.M.
We will get 2 qualifying runs.

If anyone has any questions please let me know. I will be happy to check them out.

Thanks for the info Ron. Are you all planning to be there when the gates open at 5:00PM? I guess we will have to see when Lou is leaving home to come down, if we are going to pick up his Slantkota on the way.

Look forward to seeing everyone again and seeing the Tenn./Ga gang in racing form.

Rick, Yes we plan to be there at 5:00. We are looking forward to this race. I have heard good things about this track. The owners appear to be excited about the Slant 6's being there. I hope everyone listed will be able to make it, if so we will have a great turnout.

I am not going to make it. I am getting married the following weekend. I think Dad (Meril Bruner) is going to try and come though depending on how he is feeling. Unofficially Gary has been talking about coming, if dad comes i'm pretty sure Larry will also.

Your going to let a little thing like a wedding interfere with a Slant 6 race!! What is the world coming to? Congrats on the wedding for sure. I know there are lots of things to be done.

But I want the rest of them there southern boys to come on and show us Yankees how it's done! Hopefully 4 of us are coming from Waynesboro and we need some teachin on how to race. I'm willing to talk a little smack if I need to to get them to come on out. Tell Gary there is a record up for the grabbin! And tell your dad that I will repossess his National Champion Tee shirt if he doesn't come! Let's see how this works!

Rick, I know I can'tbelieve I done it either lol. My 1st marriage I got married on a friday morning and was at the drag strip that night wonder why that one didn't work lol.
Far as I know gary is coming for sure dad relly wants to but he is having trouble with his hip. thinking he is going to have to have a replacement soon I'm pretty sure he is going to make it though.
