Here it is; two slant sixs side by side running a common flywheel at about 1.6 to 1.
Weld a 727 pumpdrive to the hemi clutch disc, that has been splined to turn the 727 input shaft.
Install into the nearest 68 hemi cuda.
Your in the 10 s with one, course you are at 450 cubes, well we'dd just have to race a 454 other brand auto.

Two atmospheres, and you don't have to carry the extra block, or spin a 727 to get "450" cubes.

I wanna see it when your done!

I was kidin but the one I wrote about the dual firing of the 1/6, 3/4 and 2/5 cylinders has another chance at the field trails.

If you rotated 1/2 the cam 180 degrees that would eliminate half the time required to fire all 6 cylinders.

Think of it as AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT the camshaft has been advanced 180 degrees and the pistons will be advanced 360 degrees, it happens because you shuffle the firing order to eliminate half the cycle times and fire two at once.

PERSONAL experience, I beat a 500 Polaris four stroke with a 350 two stroke at the county fair, my brother has a bunch of trophies from the same experience exept he has beat 650's with a 350 because the others are four stroke.

I know its still a four stroke but the math is undeniable, at 60 rpm the six would fire three cylinders a minute if you fired two cylinders at once it would still fire three times a minute.

Err... Not sure your aproaching this from the right direction. In effect your changing a 120° engine into a 240° engine. In this configuration, all your going to do is complicate harmonic vibration control, and decrease low and mid range. Our engines don't turn fast enough to gain any advantage in power, and since it's an inline rather than a V or pancake, scavenging will not benefit.

Might have some advantages if slinging loose stuff with the tires, but the power loss should make up for any gains below 8000 rpm. I only know of one slant six that might live at that engine speed, and he doesn't come here very often.
