Sounds wonderful. I hope to get to the salt someday. I bet you could do over 150, Mark...

Event cancelled.Drove 12hrs there,12hrs back, saw 1 pass.Did talk to some racers and figured out my car would have to run in the E competition class, due to the chop top and the record is over 200.I would have to comply to the rules to run over 200 even if I only wanted to go 150.New roll bar, fire system, tires wheels and other saftey exuipment makes it un doable with my car.You Have to really start from scracth and build it accordingly.Would switch my car over if I got a $10,000 sponsor.Mark

Mark,

I have some ideas to share if you really are interested in running Bonneville. Do you have the SCTA/BNI rule book?

Well that sucks....but now you know what you need, if you want to go for another record. I am sure it was a BIG let down, after driving so much to even get there....

And since I am all readey chopped,I could chop it more to get a 5 in windshield.Cowl forward I could do alot, but at that point it would bee a Bonneville only car, gotta look at wheelbase also.after I get a few more drag records. What ya thinking Josh?.Curious.Mark

Try XO Comp Coupe. Don't ask about the slant being of 1959 or earlier design. They will tell you no. I want to see them allow it or change the flippin' rule.
