That certainly is an interestingly- and cleanly-modified slant!

On a different note, I see that the PCV is routed directly to the intake manifold; I take it that the Weber has no provision to accept the PCV. Is that an acceptable alternative?

Sort of. Personally, I would not have it connected to an individual manifold runner. It could make that cyl go lean. The PCV should go to the intake plenum. With this particular manifold, I would drill and tap the manifold at both carb flange areas, and use a "T" fitting to connect to the valve. I would not use the #6 runner port for anything, other then for power brake, and/or heater vacumm.

No, it's not acceptable to run the PCV to the #6 runner. It will make #6 run lean enough to misfire.

I've been running my PCV line to the number 6 runner for a number of years now and I've never had a problem. And yes, I keep an eye on the condition of the plugs. In fact I'm bordering on OCD with the amount of times I check my spark plugs.
It makes sense that number 6 should run lean with the PCV plumbed to it, but mine just doesn't. There's always an exception to the rule. :)
