I really want to know if anyone is going to go after any 1/8 mile records here. If not, I'd rather do 1/4 mile myself. But I want to run the 1/8 on Saturday if we do it. Sunday is the big Mopar show, and I think the fan potential for the 1/4 mile is much better then. They will be impressed with some 11 & 12 second cars more than their 1/8 mile times. I think it makes us look better as a racing group too.

We will have to see if the fuel price goes to $5/gallon, it may kill a bunch of our log haulers. We will just have to see.

In the meantime, if you are planning to come please post your opinions about this or drop me a PM if you wish to remain anonymous.

Rick

Good Points Rick.

I change my mind to have the 1/8th mile race on sat if there is one at all.

I can't understand why anyone would waste half of a perfectly good racetrack.

What if you need to make a back up run for great pass you made the first day? If 1/8 mile was the only option at the track that would be one thing, but to turn off half the track for a record??? I see absolutely no reason to do that. I have raced 1/8 mile before, just don't care to do it again.

Will,

You can make a backup pass during practice on the 2nd day. Does not have to be part of Slant 6 eliminations or even Slant 6 practice/qual, just any passes on the whole weekend.

BTW, I've been playing with those injectors and a Weber side draft int/TB setup. Hopefully get that together by summer. Thanks again!

Lou

I just spoke to Elmer at Mason Dixon, and he said that there will not be any T&T on Friday night before our races May 19th & 20th. Sorry.

Rick

Will look at 75-80's schedule , 1 hour away

Looks like my 66 Valiant is ready for M-D. The 66 Cuda needs a heart transplant, so I don't know if it will be ready in time. Have to build a new motor, and see what is wrong with the nitrous system.
