The "National" race that was at Kearney is being moved to Cedar Falls this year during their Mopar weekend. The dates are Oct. 5, 6, and 7th. This is the same weekend as Clay City. It is also the same weekend as the National Open at Kearney.

Should we keep it as our "National" at Cedar Falls or should we move the "National" title (and points) to a different race?

Mike J. is just too busy with the stocker to host an event at Kearney anymore.

I can try to get us in at No Limit, (Morrocco, IN) Great Lakes (Union Grove, WI), or Cordova. (Cordova, IL)

I know RT66 has no interest as their schedule can't allow an outside race like ours.

I am still planning on pulling to CF in October.

What say ye?

Does the race at Kearney mean that Mike J. would not be able to be at Cedar Falls? Whatever we do can't exclude any of the few regulars that attend this race. I would be at Cedar Falls in October if we can get enough cars to make it worthwhile. I would also do a race at any of the other tracks you mentioned but preferably on a different weekend than Clay City. Those more eastern tracks might make it difficult for Ryan to attend but might draw some from the Indiana area. If we really expect to draw anybody from the west coast Kearney is about as far east as we can go. Just my thoughts.

Dadtruck and I have been kicking around the idea of possibly hosting a future race in Indiana. There are a couple of 1/8 mile strips down around where Howard Davis is located. Brown County Dragway, Nashville, IN and ET Raceway in Bloomfield,IN. It would all depend upon if folks were interested. Just a thought.

Seymour, Mike is staying home for the Open. He says he's scared of us now.

With Clay City and the Open to compete against, Cedar Falls will have very few cars I'm afraid.

IF it was possible to get into Cedar Falls on another weekend I would be good with that too.

Wayne, that would be a great thing to work on for next year.

If there is enough interest in an Indiana race Howard said the ET raceway otherwise known as Lyons would be the best place to have it. He also endorsed Ohio Valley in Louisville but not Nashville, IN that he calls Bean Blossom or Wabash. I would be there to see Howard's car run but it is getting a bit far afield to be an alternative to Kearney or Cedar Falls.

In all seriousness, what can we expect for cars for sure at Cedar Falls?

1. Mike E.
2. Seymour
3. Dennis
4. Ryan?

Anyone else for sure you can think of Seymour?

I would have to think that we can not count on Lou since he has no car on this side of the country anymore. :(

I told Howard I would like to watch him and his family do some racing at Lyons. DT and I will have to check this track out -might make a good IN race. Hopefully we could generate some interest.

It looks like Ryan would have to tow about 450 miles to CR. Mark Goodman is about 400 miles away. I have been trying to get ahold of Steve Nitti but haven't talked to him yet, he is about 200 miles away like me but has a busy schedule. The hardest part could be to find one date where all 6 could make it.

I heard that Steve N. was coming to MATS this year so he may-be "focused" on that, for the next couple of weeks.

Cedar Falls is about 300 or so for me. Kearney was 700.

I can't imagine making Cedar Falls if Clay City is the same weekend. I may try to drop a car somewhere West this year...

I talked to Steve Nitti today and asked if he would be interested in a race at Cedar Falls the first weekend in October. He like the idea and would try to be there but has to check for conflicts. How about GT 225? He is actually the closest to Cedar Falls.

SIGH.... You guys are great to consider me, but quite honestly, I don't see me making it to much of anything this year. The wife took ill a few months back, and is all but chairbound. She can get up and move around the house with the aid of a walker, but that's about it.
The full regimen of daily household tasks have all fallen to me now, and with spring here, I also need to find the time to get the yard work done, too.
I just can't see having enough time available to really do justice to the race car this year, but I may be able to show support as a spectator, should you all be able to get here.

Thanks much.....Roger
