:D I will be picking up the newly rebuilt /6 for my 1968 Belvedere this week. It came out very easy, but I'm wondering if there are any tricks about the installation I should be aware of. Anything, no matter how minor. Thanks in advance.

Is the transmission out of the car that the engine is going in? I find it easier to bolt engine to tranny outside, then install em both at once instead of trying to align block with tranny in the engine compartment. It's not that big a deal, but just makes it easier.

The transmission was left in the car.

If you can get somebody to help you, you can lower the engine in and your helper can work the floor jack under the transmission to get it to line up. Took no more than 15-20 minutes when I replaced the engine in my Satellite doing this. Of course, you could do it yourself, might just take alittle longer...and you'll be up, down, up, down....
